Please read these terms and conditions
carefully, if you do not agree with
them, do not use this website. Nothing
in these terms affects your statutory
rights. By using the First Thought
Equine Online shop, you signify your
agreement to be bound by these terms.
We will endeavour to provide
uninterrupted, error free access to the
website, however this can not be
guaranteed due to the nature of the
Internet. Occasionally your access may
be suspended or restricted to allow
updates, upgrades or repairs. We will
try to ensure that this is for the
shortest time possible.
Our Contract (Order)
The information we seek from you when
placing an order is for billing and
delivery purposes or for contacting you
if we have a query. When placing an
order to purchase goods from First
Thought Equine, you will be sent an
email confirming receipt of the order
and the order details.
Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed
in accordance with the laws of England
and Wales. You agree, as do we, to
submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction
of the English courts.
Pricing
All products offered for sale by First
Thought Equine are priced in Pounds
Sterling and include UK VAT at the
prevailing rate where applicable. Any
customs or import duties due when your
package reaches its destination country
will be your responsibility.
Occasionally, despite our best
endeavours products appear mispriced,
however we verify prices as part of our
order confirmation email. We will either
contact you to advise you and request
instructions before despatch or cancel
the order and notify you accordingly.
Special Order Items
All items ordered such as those with
personalisation are non-returnable.
Cancellation must be made within a week
of placing the order and this MUST be
done by telephone on 01227 831614.
Timescale
Whilst we endeavour to despatch goods
within 2 days of date of order, time is
NOT of the essence as a condition of the
order. Please note that we generally
shutdown for 4 one week holidays during
the course of the year.
Payment
CREDIT or DEBIT CARD - The fastest way
to pay for immediate despatch (stock
dependant).
We accept online payments through a
secure environment by credit or debit
card and transactions are shown in
Pounds Sterling. Do not email your card
details. No responsibility can be taken
for security if you provide your details
in this way. Card fraud is illegal and
will always lead to prosecution.
First Thought Equine Ltd take all
reasonable care, in so far as it is in
our power to do so, to keep the details
of your order and payment secure, but in
the absence of negligence on our part we
cannot be held liable for any loss you
may suffer if a third party procures
unauthorised access to any data you
provide when accessing or ordering from
First Thought Equine Ltd.
Delivery
Damaged or Undelivered Goods
Please check the condition of your
parcel on delivery prior to signing for
acceptance. In the event that goods are
missing or damaged on arrival please
specify against your signature and
inform us immediately, within 3 working
days, otherwise no claim can be
considered.
Customs
Goods ordered from First Thought Equine
Ltd for delivery outside the UK may be
subject to import duties and taxes;
these will be levied once the parcel
reaches its destination country. Any
charges for customs must be paid by you,
we have no control over these and do not
know what they may be as customs
policies vary from country to country.
Contact your local customs officer for
full details and regulations.
Returns
A full refund (less postage and packing)
will be provided on any item returned to
us in the original packaging, unsoiled,
within 14 days, for any reason.
Alternatively the goods may be
exchanged. Refunds or exchanges cannot
be made before we receive the returned
goods. Returns made after 14 days or
soiled goods will not be eligible for
refund or exchange. Please pack
carefully to avoid damage and don't
forget to enclose the return form that
was sent with your order. Please enclose
the appropriate return postage and
packing fee with goods returned for
exchange.
Products that have evidence of use i.e.
grease and hair on them can not be
refunded due to the danger of transfer
of possible infections.
You must make your own arrangements to
return goods to us and you will be
responsible for the cost of return
unless goods are faulty. We recommend
that you obtain a certificate of postage
with adequate insurance from the Post
Office if making a return, to enable you
to make a claim for any loss or damage,
as we are unable to compensate for
return parcels that are lost or damaged
in transit.

complete the returns note on your
despatch note, include it in your parcel

Fair Wear & Tear Guarantee
Our products are guaranteed for 12
months from the date of receipt,
providing they are used in accordance
with the manufacturers’
recommendations. If we feel it is
necessary component parts will be
returned to the manufacturer for their
comments. Please allow 30 days for an
exchange or refund in these instances.
Products that have evidence of use i.e.

refunded due to the danger of transfer

This is in addition to your statutory
rights.
Hygiene Regulations
Due to the Health and Safety regulations
and the hygienic problems involved with
the inspection of Horse Clothing, we are
unable to handle and inspect any item
unless it is clean and dry (Health and
Safety at Work Act 1974)
Website Access
Your Shopping Account
When using the website, you are
responsible for ensuring that your
account details and passwords remain
confidential and you agree to accept
responsibility for all activities
occurring under your account and
password. If you believe this
information has become known to someone
else or that your account is being
misused contact us immediately.
When registering your details ensure
that the information you provide us with
is complete and correct and that you
advise us as soon as possible should
this change or you wish your details
removed.
First Thought Equine Ltd reserves the
right to edit or remove content, refuse
access to the website or cancel orders
at our discretion. If we cancel an
order, it will be without charge to you
and you will be notified immediately.
The contents of the website may not be
copied, reproduced, duplicated, sold,
downloaded or distributed by any means
to third parties without our express
written consent.
You may copy or print details for the
sole purpose of using the website while
connected to the Internet.
You must not use the website in any way
that causes, or is likely to cause the
website or access to it to be
interrupted, damaged or impaired in any
way.
You must not use the website for
fraudulent purposes, spamming or any
unlawful activity.
